About Pacific Kalokairi
Pacific Kalokairi is an adults-only boutique hotel set in the hills just outside Tamarindo, Guanacaste. With only eight rooms, the hotel offers an intimate and peaceful stay surrounded by nature, with views of the Pacific Ocean and the tropical landscape.
Yes. Pacific Kalokairi is an adults-only hotel, designed for guests looking for a peaceful and intimate stay near Tamarindo. The hotel is especially suited to couples, romantic getaways, honeymoons and travelers who prefer a quieter atmosphere.
Pacific Kalokairi is approximately a 7-minute drive from downtown Tamarindo and Tamarindo Beach. Guests can enjoy easy access to the beach, restaurants and activities in town while staying away from the busier center.
Yes. Set in the hills above Tamarindo, Pacific Kalokairi enjoys views toward the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding tropical landscape. Our Ocean View rooms offer the best ocean views, while Jungle View rooms overlook the natural surroundings.
Pacific Kalokairi is a small boutique hotel with only eight rooms: four Ocean View rooms and four Jungle View rooms. Its limited number of rooms helps preserve the intimate and relaxe atmosphere of the hotel.

Rooms & Your Stay
Every stay at Pacific Kalokairi includes à la carte breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi and private parking. Guests also have access to the hotel’s infinity pool and common areas during their stay.
Yes. All rooms at Pacific Kalokairi are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort throughout your stay.
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and throughout the hotel.
Yes. You are welcome to let us know your room or view preference when booking. We will always do our best to accommodate requests, although specific room assignments are subject to availability.
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM.
When making your reservation, please let us know your approximate arrival time. This helps us prepare everything for your arrival — including having your room cool and comfortable when you get here.
Early check-in and late check-out may be available depending on occupancy and availability. Please contact our team before your arrival or during your stay and we will be happy to check the options available.
Yes. If you arrive before your room is ready or would like to leave your luggage with us after check-out, please speak with our team and we will be happy to assist you.

Booking & Cancellation
You can book directly through our official website. Booking direct gives you access to our direct rates and benefits, with our team available to assist you before and during your stay.
Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 21 days before arrival. Cancellations made within 21 days of arrival are subject to the applicable cancellation charges.
For full details, please refer to the cancellation conditions shown at the time of booking.
Yes. A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. Your card is not automatically charged when you book. Payment instructions will be provided according to the conditions of your reservation.
For direct reservations, we will send you a secure payment link a few days before the free cancellation period ends, giving you time to complete the payment before your reservation becomes non-refundable.
If you make your reservation within the non-refundable period, payment will be requested shortly after booking.
If you need to change your dates or other details of your reservation, please contact us directly. Changes are subject to availability and the conditions of your original booking.
Reservations made through an online travel agency or third-party booking platform must be modified or cancelled through the same platform where the reservation was made, according to its booking conditions.

Yes. An à la carte breakfast is included with your stay at Pacific Kalokairi, so you can start your morning slowly while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the hotel.
Breakfast is prepared à la carte, with a selection of freshly made options. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please let our team know so we can advise you on the options available.
Yes. Kalokairi Restaurant & Bar offers a relaxed dining experience surrounded by nature, with Mediterranean and Costa Rican influences, handcrafted cocktails and views toward the Pacific.
Yes. Kalokairi Restaurant & Bar welcomes outside guests and is adults-only. Advance reservation is required for guests who are not staying at the hotel.

Yes. The infinity pool is reserved exclusively for registered hotel guests, helping us maintain the quiet and intimate atmosphere of Pacific Kalokairi.
Yes. Kalokairi Spa offers massages, facials and wellness rituals in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature.
Yes. Kalokairi Spa welcomes outside guests by advance reservation. As Pacific Kalokairi is an adults-only property, spa services are also reserved for adults.
Yes. Advance booking is required for spa treatments so we can prepare your experience and confirm therapist availability.
Yes. Our spa can accommodate two guests for treatments together, subject to availability. Advance booking is recommended.

Location & Getting Around
Pacific Kalokairi is set in the hills just outside Tamarindo, Guanacaste, surrounded by tropical nature and overlooking the Pacific landscape. The location offers a peaceful setting while keeping Tamarindo’s beach, restaurants and town center just a short drive away.
Pacific Kalokairi is approximately a 7-minute drive from downtown Tamarindo and Tamarindo Beach, allowing you to enjoy the town while returning to the peace and privacy of the hills.
Yes. Taxis and Uber can pick up and drop off guests directly at Pacific Kalokairi, making it easy to travel between the hotel and Tamarindo without having your own car.
Yes. We offer a scheduled shuttle service to Tamarindo for hotel guests who need transportation. Please ask our team about the available schedule during your stay.
Tamarindo Airport (TNO) is the closest airport to Pacific Kalokairi and serves flights on small aircraft.
Guanacaste Airport in Liberia (LIR) is the closest international airport and the most convenient option for most international guests traveling to Pacific Kalokairi.
Yes. Private airport transfers can be arranged upon request. Please contact us in advance with your flight details and our team will be happy to assist you.
A rental car is not essential for every stay, but we recommend having one if you would like the freedom to explore Guanacaste at your own pace. A 4×4 is especially useful for discovering beaches and places beyond Tamarindo, particularly when exploring less developed roads.
The road from Tamarindo to Pacific Kalokairi is paved except for an approximately 900-meter section after turning onto the road leading to the hotel. The final uphill section to Pacific Kalokairi is paved.
A 4×4 is not required to reach the hotel, although an SUV or 4×4 can provide additional comfort and is recommended if you plan to explore some of Guanacaste’s beaches and more remote areas during your stay.

Hotel Policies
Pacific Kalokairi is an adults-only hotel for guests aged 18 and over, designed to offer a peaceful and intimate atmosphere.
No. Pets are not permitted at Pacific Kalokairi.
Pacific Kalokairi is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, indoor areas or around the hotel’s common areas. Guests who wish to smoke may do so in the designated area near the parking, where it does not disturb other guests.
Visitors are welcome to join you at Kalokairi Restaurant & Bar with advance reservation. For the privacy and security of our guests, only registered hotel guests are permitted in guest rooms and accommodation areas.
The infinity pool is reserved for hotel guests and is not available to outside visitors.
Private celebrations and events may be arranged only with prior approval from Pacific Kalokairi. If you are planning a wedding, celebration or private gathering, please contact our team in advance to explore the available options.
